Your future skillset

Role:

Trainee / Junior QA manual

Knowledge of SDLC and STLC and the basics of Scrum, Waterfall, and Kanban development methodologies;

Understanding of the testing fundamentals

Experience with test documentation, namely test cases, checklists, bug reports, test plans;

Manual testing of web and mobile applications: practical skills of finding bugs and creating bug reports;

Basic skills of working with Git and command line;

Understanding of test design techniques; particularly Black Box (boundary value analysis, pairwise testing);

Knowledge of test management systems: TestRail, Azure DevOps;

Basic knowledge of SQL queries and MySQL database;

Understanding of the rules and principles of task estimation;

Knowledge of bug tracking and workflow management tools; working with Jira;

Understanding of client-server architecture and API principles;

REST, SOAP testing with Postman and SoapUI;

Knowledge of automation basics (Selenium IDE, Jmeter).

FAQ

Is personal education better than group education?

Personal education isn’t necessarily better than group one, but it is different. The key difference lies in how flexible and personalized it is. Personal education is more individual and doesn’t involve group interaction, as found in group studies. It’s a great fit for those who prefer to learn at their own speed and manage their own schedule. On the other hand, group education is ideal for those who enjoy learning with others and prefer a consistent study pace. So, it comes down to what you value in your learning experience and whether your schedule allows for intensive group studies at a set time each week.

Will I have a portfolio after the course?

At the end of the course, you will defend a graduation project that you can include in your portfolio to show the future employer. This is a project with real tasks that you solve during training. You will build a portfolio of homework assignments that encompass checklists, test cases, bug reports, test plans, and automated test cases.

By completing all homework assignments, which are graded based on three different difficulty levels, you can build a portfolio that includes 2 checklists, 2 test plans, over 20 test cases, and 5+ automated test cases.Additionally, you have the freedom to create more examples of test documentation as you progress through the course. Also, your teacher will be happy to advise you which of the practical or homework assignments can be included in the portfolio.

Do you help with employment?

We do not guarantee 100% employment, but we do everything we can to increase your chances of getting a job. We provide career counseling, where you will learn how to create an effective CV, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile. A professional recruiter will review your work and provide feedback on how to improve it. Moreover, our curriculum is developed by senior authors who also teach and see in practice what junior specialists need to get a job.
