  • Core principles of secure coding: least privilege, fail-safe defaults, input validation
  • Common Vulnerabilities & OWASP Top 10
  • Understanding threat modeling and its importance in development
Day 2

  • Best practices for authentication, authorization, and session management
  • Techniques for data encryption at rest and in transit
  • Protecting sensitive data (e.g., PII, credentials) and data handling policies
  • Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC)
  • Practice static and dynamic application security testing (SAST, DAST); code review to identify and remediate vulnerabilities

  • Define key concepts: cybersecurity, cyber attacks, and cyberwarfare
  • Identify core data in your organization and how it should be protected
