The last place of work before I started studying at the Beetroot Academy course was as the operations director of a company that owns shopping centres throughout Ukraine. I already worked in IT 10 years ago, before it became mainstream. Then, with a friend, we created an IT product company when we were still both students. After that experience, life took me to other fields and parts of the world. When full-scale war broke out, I decided that this was the time to get back into IT. I needed to refresh my knowledge. Therefore, on my friend's advice, I came to study at the Beetroot Academy, where I found theoretical material and motivation to move on. Mentor Tymofiy Vetrogradov helped me restore my self-confidence, which became part of my success. Everything I got from my studies was not 100, but 120 % of what I expected. And I achieved exactly the goal I was aiming for. I liked the students' motivation to move forward and the emotional ecosystem in the studying process. I needed to choose the right path, considering all the experience I received. At that time, choosing a profession in IT was my most responsible choice. A Project Manager position would be boring, so I aimed for C-level, Product Manager, and Product Owner positions. After a month of conscientious work on the CV and two dozen interviews, my job found me: the role of Product Manager in a product company in Game Development. I encountered some psychological difficulties during the job search, but the mentor helped me overcome them. I am very grateful to him.
