Impact

Throughout 2023, the Beetroot Academy faced numerous challenges, leading us to adapt and evolve. While russia continues to destroy Ukraine and its economy, the beets of the Academy did everything humanly possible to demonstrate their resilience, hard work, and support for others.

In 2022, the Academy's efforts were focused on helping Ukrainians affected by the war. Our main activities were establishing a foundation, partnerships with international institutions, scholarships for refugees, and participation in a Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine project. Being a woman, who wants to have a great career in tech, is still challenging, like in any other male-dominated industry. Although the situation changes slightly, there is good news. We asked five women from different countries — Sweden, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Poland, and Moldova — to share their experiences facing biases in the tech world, but luckily, not everyone struggled.
