The IT training scholarship program implemented by ACTED Ukraine in partnership with Beetroot Academy was aimed at supporting the most vulnerable groups of people permanently residing in the government-controlled areas of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. The program pays special attention to internally displaced persons who need new opportunities for professional fulfillment.
The initiative was supported by the Embassy of Canada in Ukraine and Global Affairs Canada.
The program was designed for two years and provided 380 scholarships covering 50% to 100% of the cost of tuition and other related expenses. The project created a unique opportunity for residents of the frontline regions to master modern digital skills, acquire a new profession, and improve their economic prospects despite the difficult circumstances of wartime.
