The number of war veterans in Ukraine is increasing daily, and it is essential to help them successfully transition into civilian life by providing new career opportunities that enable remote work. As part of this effort, about 150 people—including veterans and their families—were trained in two key areas: IT project management and front-end development.
The project was carried out with the full support of several organizations. Beetroot Academy facilitated the educational process with partial funding from the Beetroot Aid Fund and financial aid from a private Swedish foundation. Horizon Hub, relying on private donations, offered psychological support, career development guidance, and English classes, creating a comprehensive support system for participants.
The project is already producing tangible results: we have inspiring stories of veterans who have secured jobs in the IT industry. This demonstrates the success of the approach and highlights how technological education can serve as a powerful tool for rehabilitation and social reintegration of veterans, providing them with opportunities to pursue a new professional path.
